Your shortcuts are files on your disk. Rovyl reads them and nothing else.

Stays on your machine

Your configurationWorkspaces, shortcuts, settings and extracted icons live in %APPDATA%\Rovyl.
No telemetryNo analytics, no crash reporting, no usage events - none are collected and none are sent.
No account requiredInstall and use every feature without signing in to anything.

When it touches the network

Update checkAsks GitHub whether a newer release exists. Can be turned off in Settings.
Website iconsOnly when you add a website shortcut: it fetches that site's favicon, once, and stores it locally.
Optional sign-in and licensingOnly if you choose to sign in or activate a licence. Skip both and nothing is sent.

Nothing else

No ads, no trackers, no third-party SDKsRovyl is free software under the GPL-3.0 - the source is public and this page is checkable against it.
